Why Keystone?
We Know Well Systems
Inside and Out
Well system work requires specific knowledge — we've seen every failure mode and know exactly how to fix them.
Fast Diagnosis
We identify whether it's the tank, switch, pump, or something else — so you're not paying to replace parts that don't need it.
Proper Sizing
An undersized tank causes the same short-cycling you started with. We size it right based on your pump specs.
Local Knowledge
We work throughout South-Central PA and understand the local geology, water quality, and common well system setups.
Quality Tanks Only
We install reputable brands with proper warranties — no off-brand tanks that fail in two years.
Same-Day Available
No water is an emergency. We prioritize same-day calls for well system failures whenever possible.
Upfront Pricing
You'll know the full cost before we touch anything. No surprise add-ons after the work is done.
Common Questions
Well Tank FAQ
Answers to the most common well system questions we hear.
The most common signs are a pump that kicks on and off every few seconds (short-cycling), water pressure that surges and drops, a pressure gauge that swings wildly, or water coming out of the air valve on the tank. Any of these symptoms warrant a call.
Sometimes — if the bladder is intact and the tank just needs re-pressurizing, it may be salvageable. But if the internal bladder has ruptured (which is common), the tank needs to be replaced. We'll tell you honestly which situation you're in.
A quality pressure tank typically lasts 10–15 years. Lifespan varies based on water quality, proper sizing, and whether the pre-charge pressure is maintained. Hard water and undersized tanks tend to fail sooner.
Yes — a pump that starts and stops constantly runs extremely hot and wears out much faster than normal. A submersible pump replacement is far more expensive than a pressure tank. Don't ignore a short-cycling pump.
We diagnose pump performance as part of our well system assessment. If your pump needs service or replacement, we'll let you know and can discuss next steps. Call us and we'll walk through everything you're experiencing.
